The goal of this device is to stimulate the common peroneal nerve to cause the affected foot to dorsiflex (raise up) during a person’s walking cycle. Patient’s become candidates for this FES device after an evaluation with us. We test the common peroneal nerve function and discuss treatment options with the patient during this visit.
